PHOTOBOOKS OF NOTE 2020 - Giulia Zorzi of MiCamera
3 for the future
2020 has been a year of suspension and waiting -
so I'd like to start with three titles that have not reached the bookstore yet and I am very much looking forward to see.
Jo Spence - Fairy Tales and Photography, or another look at Cinderella - RRB Photobooks, 2020
Carolyn Drake - Knit Club - TBW Books
Cécile Poimboeuf-Koizumi & Stephen Ellcock - Jeux de mains - Chose Commune (this was first due December 2020, now is due January 2021)
3 for the past
Three books that have been very important to me - a trilogy that has long been out of print and is finally available:
Mark Steinmetz - South East, South Central, Greater Atlanta (Nazraeli Press)
3 for the present
Like every year, it is difficult to pick just three books. But here you go:
Judith Black - Pleasant Street - Stanley Barker
Cemre Yeşil Gönenli - A Handbook of Forgiveness & A Handbook of Punishment - GOST and FiLBooks
Giulia Zorzi is the woman behind MiCamera, one of the finest photobook shops in all the land. (they are in Milan, Italy) We are itching to get back over there for another exhibition and spend some time with friends.
